According to W.J.Durant, from 3421 years of documented history, there are only 268 years without war. War itself is a miserable and devastating event, but its historical, geographical and cultural effects (including art, literature and ...) are important basis for human civilization and its cultural structure. There are lots of articles, books, researches and novels that prove this matter.

Website of "WAR LIBRARY" (www.warlib.ir) is being designed to be on Internet with good facilities for presenting info in two main parts: "Library" and  " Database", and some other parts, will be available soon.

In "Database" we will present many useful info about books, articles, dissertations, documents, artistic works, research centers, publishing centers, softwares, CDs, bibliographies, lists, libraries, dictionaries, encyclopedias, museums, fairs, collections, periodicals, special issues, bulletins, anniversaries, congresses, seminars and whatever related to warfare, wars and arms.

In "Library" we will present the sources and facilities available at "War Library" of "The Bureau for the Literature and Art of Resistance" and how to use this library. There are some research projects in this library as: "War Library Classification" (WLC)," War Subject Heading", " War Thesaurus", "Name Authority List of War Authors and Famous People" to be used for information services on this website. Also, expansion of WLC will be presented to be used by researchers and librarians.
